Follow this guide ONLY if you already have AstreamWeb Play App installed and like to upgrade to latest version
First uninstall the old app:
Step 1. Fire TV > settings > applications > manage all installed applications > AstreamWeb play > Uninstall > Confirm
Note when u start the new app first time, it will take extra long time to load the app widgets as it need to cache all images first time.
Device type: New app will have option for you to select device type. You are free to choose which ever, the Fire tv Stick comes with limited widgets, and is designed for less powerful devices. But both apps offer all same features inside "home".
Step 2. Once you have uninstalled old app (see instruction above in red) then select "Show all apps" icon (se image below)
Step 4 Click left arrow until u reach the side menu and select favourites
Step 5 Now select AstreamWeb Play from the list for download. Once downloaded say yes to install this app.
Step 6 AstreamWeb Play download will begin
Step 7 Click Install on AstreamWeb setup page
DO NOT CLICK OPEN AFTER INSTALL COMPLETED
Step 14 This step applies ONLY for nvidia AND Fire TV Stick and possible future Fire tv box device holders, its recommended to check this option.
Exit downloader app and go to
NVIDIA/Sony Devices: Settings->apps->astreamwebplay v3->permissions->Files and media->allow management of all files.
Fire TV Devices: Settings > Applications > Manage all installed Applications > AstreamWeb Play V3 > Files and media > Allow all files.
Now Go two step back and click on "launch Application" for AstreamWeb Play V3 App.
Step 14 Click Open once AstreamWeb Play has been installed
Step 15 If you still encounter same version after reinstall then please follow step 15.1:
Step 15.1 Open downloader app and go to favouite and delete all your favourtes
Step 15.2 select the three line button at the top right corner:
Step 15.4 Now Type: https://bit.ly/astream14
Step 15.5 Now select AstreamWeb Play for download and once downloaded say yes to install this app.
Step 15.6 AstreamWebPlay download will begin
Step 16. Now you find astreamweb play app under all apps section
Step 17 Follow the below guide to bring AstreamWeb to home screen:
18 Hold down your Home button
19 Now select Apps:
20 Highlight the app you like to bring to front page and press the Menu button on the remote.
18.4 Select Move to the front.
(Only applies if app dont work):
After SIGN ON process, if the screen is blank, this means possible two reasons:
1. You are running low on space,(navigate to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Storage.) Please consder delete apps or factory reset device, this is known issue with older devices.
2. Your ISP is blocking our new app, any firewall or ISP app with security can block our app. please whitelist it. follow guide
Step 10 You will be presented with AstreamWeb Play v2 (red icon) at home screen.
