Accessing App Permissions

  • Open Settings: On your NVIDIA Shield TV home screen, navigate to the "Settings" gear icon at the top right corner.
  • Go to Apps: Scroll down and select "Apps."
  • Select AstreamWeb play App: Find and select the AstreamWeb app from the list of installed apps.
  • Open Permissions: Click on "Permissions" to view and adjust the permissions for the AstreamWeb app.

Enabling File and Media Permissions

  • Locate the App: In the "Permissions" section, find the permissions labeled "Files and media" or similar for the AstreamWeb app.
  • Enable Permissions: Toggle the switch to enable access to files and media for the AstreamWeb  app. This will allow the app to read and write to your storage as needed.

Preventing Permissions from Being Removed

  • Go to Settings: Navigate to the "Settings" gear icon from the home screen.
  • Access Apps: Scroll down and select "Apps."
  • Select AstreamWeb App: Choose the AstreamWeb app.
  • App Info: Click on "App info" and then select "Permissions."
  • Remove Restrictions: Scroll down to the option that says "Remove permissions if app isn't used" or similar. Toggle this option off to ensure the AstreamWeb app retains its permissions even if it's not used frequently.
